The Brigshaw Federation | A Co-operative Trust
The schools in the Brigshaw Federation have worked increasingly closely and successfully over recent years. Eight of the schools in the Federation are now formally consulting on establishing a shared ‘Trust’ to strengthen and sustain our partnership.
A shared Trust is where a group of schools work together in a more formal way to share best practice, supported by a separate charitable organisation known as a ‘Trust’, containing a carefully selected range of partners invited to join the trust by the schools themselves. We are proposing a Co-operative Trust model where staff, parents/carers, pupils and community representatives can become members of the Trust and can help shape the way the Trust works
You can find out more information by reading or downloading the booklets, and may wish to respond to the proposals by completing the Questionnaire.
There is a public consultation period which will runs from Monday 11th January to noon on Monday 8th February 2010, after which the Governing Bodies of the schools will decide whether or not to proceed to the next stage of the process.
